Terms & Conditions
MedRec is currently offered as an independent application by its developer, based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and is not yet operated through a separately registered company. In this document, “MedRec,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer(s) who operate the MedRec app and the medrecapp.com website.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, downloading, or using the MedRec app or the medrecapp.com website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use MedRec.
Description of service
MedRec is a personal health record app that helps you and your family organize lab reports, prescriptions, and visit notes into a single timeline, using on-device OCR scanning. MedRec also lets you book paid consultations with independent doctors. MedRec is a record-keeping and scheduling tool — it is not itself a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider.
Medical disclaimer: MedRec does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app only organizes information you choose to store, and the Record Assistant only helps you find information in your own stored records. It does not use AI, and it does not replace the judgment of a qualified medical professional. Doctor consultations booked through MedRec are provided by independent, licensed doctors who are solely responsible for the advice, diagnosis, and treatment they give. MedRec is not a party to the doctor-patient relationship and does not guarantee the availability, qualifications, or outcome of any consultation. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician for any medical condition. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on this app.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to create a MedRec account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you add family profiles, you confirm that you are authorized to manage health information on behalf of those family members.
Subscriptions and payments
- The Individual plan is free.
- The Family plan costs PKR 599/month, billed monthly, and can be cancelled at any time as described in our Refund & Return Policy.
- Doctor consultations are paid as you book them, through our payment partner Gopayfast, and are subject to the cancellation terms in our Refund & Return Policy.
- We may change our prices from time to time; where we do, we will make reasonable efforts to let you know in advance.
Your content
You own the records and information you upload to MedRec. By uploading content, you give MedRec a limited license to store, process, and display that content back to you, and to anyone you explicitly choose to share it with (such as a doctor via QR code), solely to provide the service to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use MedRec for any unlawful purpose; upload health records belonging to someone else without proper authorization to manage them; attempt to interfere with, hack, or disrupt the app or its infrastructure; or misuse the doctor consultation feature (for example, by booking appointments you don't intend to attend).
Intellectual property
The MedRec name, logo, and app design belong to MedRec's developer. Using the app does not give you any ownership rights in MedRec itself, beyond your right to use it under these Terms.
Third-party services
MedRec relies on third parties to provide parts of the service — for example, Gopayfast for payment processing, and independent doctors for consultations. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own separate terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
MedRec is under active development and is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedRec and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for medical outcomes arising from a doctor consultation booked through the app, or for loss of data. We recommend keeping your own backups of important records.
Termination
You may stop using MedRec and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as MedRec evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of MedRec after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
